Christmas in Orlando

As I've left it late (again) to post, you can have two for the price of one! Everything was so full on during the festive period, so just didn't have time to write anything - new years resolution, be more on top of these posts!

Christmas little helpers

Compared to most of my recent posts this will just be a quickie (just like many guys in my life-whey!) as was only a one nighter to Orlando. Everyone thinks this job is all free holidays and glamorous trips, but when you're waking up at the crack of dawn on Christmas day morning, to spend it away with mostly strangers, it shows the sacrifices you have to make for this lifestyle. I'm not going to lie, I did wake up a little scrooge like and grumpy, but when I got to work and everyone had all their Christmassy accessories on & there was mince pies everywhere, it perked me up. When we got down route (to destination) the company had put on a buffet Christmas dinner for us, unfortunately we arrived too late for it. However we were given vouchers to get whatever we wanted instead and also had some all important drinks vouchers to celebrate with! There were five of us on the crew who had decided that there was no way we were spending Christmas in the hotel bar, Crickets. After some googling, we went to the only place that was open - a gay club! While we were having drinks in the hotel bar we picked up a few more to come party with us, some Norwegian crew that stay at the same hotel & one's the housemate of one of our crew.

Some of the squad
The club was random to say the least, but lets be fair what can you expect?! Whoever else is going to want to spend Christmas day, in a gay club is probably not totally normal! The night was a laugh, though, we were all smashed, there were drag acts throughout the night & everyone just danced till they couldn't stand! An uber home, via Mcdonalds, rounded the night off nicely. It's always a weird one when you're out in a random place, in a gay club and end up not waking up in your own room! Wow... as a first time experience working Christmas with my new airline, its safe to say this was definitely not your average Christmas day!

Anyways, that's all done, homeward bound and had a great few days off to celebrate with family and friends at home.

Next stop... Vegas for new years!!!!!!!
